as much as it hurts
It had been a while since she had last been in a record shop, actually holding and feeling album in her hands rather than just seeing it digitalized on a computer screen. In all honesty, it was a refreshing feeling to be holding it in her hands, like she used to before everything was just transferred in the gigabytes. Running a hand through her long, bright red hair, she pushed it over to one shoulder, trying to get some stray hairs out of her face in the process. Holding a 'Decapitated' CD in her hand, she turned it over to look at the back, her eyes locked on the text on the back as she thought about how the album might sound. She had some of their albums on her ipod, but she felt as though she should start buying albums every once in a while, just to support some of her favourite artists. Initially, Jessie had gone to the local record shop to pick up the new 'Evanescence' album, just simply because the other two and wanted to add to her little collection. It wasn't as if she went there often, but now that she was there, she regretted not going there more often. The atmosphere was so comforting and relaxing, she couldn't explain as to why, but it just was. She felt at home in there.
Putting the CD back on the rack, she eyed a couple more the albums before she picked up another and analysed it, trying to see if she could recognize any of the songs on the back. As she looked through the albums, she started to get lost in her thoughts and the music that was playing through the speaker in the shop. It was something to tended to do often, especially if she was on the bus or just walking to work with her earphones in. Her band mates and boyfriend told her that she would get this glazed look over her eyes, as if her soul had retreated inside of her body completely. It was kind of a cool thought, especially since Jessie fully believed it to be true. She figured that was what happened, her soul would jus completely coil into her body and evelope itself in the music that was blaring into her head. It got especially bad if it was a song with a symphony in the background; she would stop a conversation just so that she could analyse the song and pick out the instruments used. Sure, it was kind of geeky, but that was just who she was - a complete and total music nerd.
Putting the CD down, she looked up and puleld herself out of the trance;she had to get back on track, "I wonder where that album is..." she murmured to herself and got up on her tip toes to look over the rows and rows of racks of CDs and records. Each one of them was labeled for each genre so she's think it would be easy for her to find the labum she wanted. Unfortunately for her, it was becoming harder than she excpected, "Come on, it's gotta be around here somewhere..." she muttered again to herself as she walked around the rack she had just been looking at and headed towards the 'alt rock' label. On her way, another album caught her eye and she went wide eyed because of it, "No way!" she exclaimed quietly before she walked towards the rack and picked up the 'Black Dahlia Murder' album, "I've been looking everywhere for this!" she added in the same tone that she had used before. A wide, goofy grin appeared on her face as she looked around and held it close to her chest; she was more than set on buying that album. Pulling the album back, she looked right at it with such a wide smile, there was no hiding that she was excited about this find.

905, JESSIE/CHARLIE, OHAY FIRST RP POST FOR MY LITTLE TAYTAY, OUTFIT, LISTENING TO HEY BABY HERE'S THAT SONG YOU WANTED BY BLESSTHEFALL !
tower over me,
tay loved her life, touring the world and meeting new people was something she had dreamed of before her father died. she wanted to become a famous rock star that was known by all. she pretty much wanted to be the next amy lee or hayley williams, everyone knows the two front women. if they don't, they probably live under a rock when it comes to music. however this need to be known vanished from her thoughts when her father died. it after the event when she gave up on most things in her life, her dream being one of them. she lost her passion for music; her love died along side her father. when she met her boyfriend her need was reborn and she realized that she was destined for this; she was born to be a rock star.
when taylor thought of life as a rock star however she never thought that she would have been on the path to the use of drugs and cheating on her boyfriend. she wanted to be someone that fans could look up to and wish to be in her shoes, but she knew that if they ever found out about her need for the drugs she takes on a regular basis she was going to be in deep shit, no matter how she tried to twist it in her favour. it was going to be impossible to avoid the fate, sooner or later some writer would find out and publish their findings to the world. they'd ruin tay's life. tay wasn't ready for any of that; she'd only just started. though she's been digging herself a hole since she even thought about trying drugs and she's getting deeper and deeper. the fact that she is cheating on her boyfriend with the bands roadie wasn't going to help either.
having wrapped up warmly as to avoid an sudden showers the spring weather could bring, tay was ready to face the outside world once more. her leather jacket provided the protection from the world that she needed, especially since she lacked trouser length when she had decided to go for a simple pair of shorts. she slipped on her simple black pumps as she ran toward the bus doors, "going shopping, anyone wanna come?" she called to the others occupying the bus only to hear a couple of the boys call back 'no'. well she didn't expect anyone to come. knowing tay she'd start to drag the boys around every clothing shop she saw only to complain that none of the clothes weren't cute enough or too baggy; she always complained when she was clothes shopping, it was a habit that none of the men she was close to had gotten used to. thank god she had girl friends to go shopping with back at home.
as the twenty three year old stepped out of the bus she was thankful that the weather was sunny today, it meant she wouldn't have to go back in to the bus to change her shorts. thank god for days like today. she still hated sunny weather though. she fiddled with her hat slightly to readjust her hair feathers as she walked away from the roaches in hollywood tour bus. she could already hear the boys in the bus shouting over a game of call of duty. typical. shaking her head slightly she turned a corner to reach a main road, she was disappointed in the boys for not inviting her to join... then again she'd just end up hitting them over the head with the controller or something stupid. with cars rushing past her she managed to stay clear of being sprayed by any puddles that had been left by any recent rain the city had endured. soon enough after a couple of minutes walking she had reached the shopping areas of the city; she glimmered at the sight of the clothes in the shop windows, her eyes darting around to see what she was going to do first. stay calm, you have time for them all, she told herself as she made her way up the pavement.
when the young woman had spotted a familiar face in a crowd she'd only bought a few odd items from different shops. the main type of items she'd grabbed were a selected amount of dvds she'd been meaning to get for months, now that she had time to visit the local shops she was able to get the desired items. tay battled her way through the crowd to catch up with the red head who had entered a music store, tay should have known she'd be going to a music store. once she managed to enter the store she instantly began to scan the room for the red headed girl. after a few minutes of searching she saw the fiery hair that she hunter peek over a row of cds. taylor winded through the corridors of cds hunting for her friend hidden between them, her eyes being caught by a few cds she had yet to own. she decided that her friend came first over music--this time at least--and continued her search.
"guess who!" she squeaked as she snuck up behind the prey she'd searched for between the isles. she covered the other girls eyes before she could turn to see who was behind her, "i'll give you a clue - i'm awesome, |

as much as it hurts
As engulfed as she was in finding the new album that she had been craving to listen to since 'The Open Door' came out, she couldn't help but get the feeling that she was being followed. It wasn't a threatening kind of feeling, but it was definitely a primal feeling that an animal would get if they were being followed in a hunt. Shrugging it off and assuming the person would just show themselves whenever they planned to, she continued on her search, leisurely walking throughout the isle - may as well peruse, yeah? That was so much like Jess, even if she was anxious and excited, she would still take her time - she figured she didn't want to miss the little things and slowing down was the only way she could think of to solve it. With her eyes open, she kept the search on, figuring she may find another treasure or two along the way. Now that Jess was in the band she always dreamed about, she had the money she didn't exactly dream about but just thought of as an added bonus. Of course, most people who go in for the fame also go in for the fortune and I guess Jess had thought about it once in a while - the expensive outfits she could get for the show, mostly.
Jess had a very distinct style when she went up on stage, it was a tad bit of a contrast to her usual attire of combat boots or converse paired with jeans and band t-shirt, not to mention the signature leather jacket if the weather called for it. Yes, Jessie's public style was very limited, but that didn't mean she didn't absolutely love dressing up in gowns and poofy skirts. Hell, you could always see a hint of Jessie's girly side in the way she did her make up - it was always dramatic. However, whenever she went on stage, she upped the drama and always found herself putting sparkles all over her eyes to match the outrageous skirt or dress she was wearing on stage that night. Usually, it was matched up with a corset - oh how Jessie loved her corsets. It always shocked people, seeing her sing such hard, high notes while being so restricted when, actually, corsets usually helped her. It was how opera singers kept their posture.
It was a very interesting thing to see such a classically trained singer be not bands such as 'The Black Dahlia Murder' - a death metal band. But, Jess could barely hold her excitement as she spotted it and grabbed it for her own. However, amidst her excitement, she felt a pair of hands cover her eyes and it was then she realized her follower decided to show themselves. She reacted with a start but hearing the person's voice, she knew exactly who it was and beamed a smile, "Oh, I dunno. A crazed fan?" she teased before she pulled away from the person's hands and turned to face them. Much to her delight, it was Tay Holloway. When she saw Tay's face, she put on a faux disgusted look and scoffed, "Oh, it's just you." she joked before she couldn't hold it back any longer and smiled at her, "Kidding! Hello Tay Tay Holla-all the way!" she said before she wrapped her arms around her friend in a greeting, "See what I did there?" she added, as she pulled away, meaning about how she had changed her friend's last name into a whole phrase.

557, JESSIE/CHARLIE, THIS IS A SHORTY OOPS AND SORRY FOR TYPOS, OUTFIT, LISTENING TO KARMA BY PARKWAY DRIVE !
tower over me,
being in a band of mainly boys it could be horrible for tay sometimes, thank god there was two other females in the band for her to be girly with. it also meant that she wouldn't be the only one who would have to suffer the guys leaving their boxers around the bus all the time. that and the fact they were always on that darn xbox playing stupid games like call of duty. for tay, it was pokémon all the way. she enjoyed touring with her boyfriend--and don't forget her fuck buddy roadie--because it meant she could spend more time around him and not have to worry distance, most other chicks had to when they were dating a guy in a world touring band.
as for jessie, she was pretty much the same too in the boys situation, minus the boyfriend part. she had an almost all male band, the drummer for welcome to the silent force was female. she was practically in the same shoes as tay. okay, maybe not exactly but in this case she was pretty close. taylor didn't know what exactly happened behind closed doors on the bus for the other band, but she would bet all of her money on it being similar to her own. it was probably one of the reasons tehy got along so well, that and the fact that they both had a very childish nature about both of them.
"Oh, I dunno. A crazed fan?"
tay gave out a little fake sigh out of disappointment. she knew the other girl was kidding but there wasn't any harm in playing along, was there? "alright jessie, you caught me! you're gonna have to put a restraining order on me sooner or later, |
" she grinned at the other girl, her fatigue had completely disappeared and so she had to pull a straight face once more before she could pout a little as when jessie pulled a disgusted look, " hey, i may stalk you but i don't smell," she joked, giving the red headed girl a light punch to her shoulder. the face jessie had pulled looked as though tay reeked with the smell of rotting fish--or some other ghastly smell--was humorous to tay. she loved the faces jess pulled. " Kidding! Hello Tay Tay Holla-all the way! See what I did there?" tay couldn't help but give out a giggle as jessie contorted her last name into a phrase, she had heard it from a few fans before but no one she actually knew as a friend had ever called her that. the best thing about it was that it was jessie who had done so. she returned the embrace of the other girls before retreating as she did too, " yes, yes i did jess, i might have to start calling you jessie j if you're going to call me that more often," tay winked at her friend as she spoke, of course tay was going to call her it now she'd come up with it, it was a great nickname! something about it made tay proud that she had come up with the nickname, but knowing her luck loads of people had nicknamed the red head after the famous pop star. tay wasn't the sort to have that kind of luck on her side usually. drat. as much as it hurts
With her hands now on one of the many albums she had been wanting, there was no way in hell that she was letting go of it. She didn't care if it wasn't the last copy and she could come back for it later, she wanted it right then and there. She was going to be feeling even more so when she got her hands on the new Evanescence album. Ever since she was younger, they were the band that inspired her to write and express herself - well, them along with her older sister and brother. They were huge inspirations to her and it was only natural that she idolized them. Though it was funny, seeing as Danny's band was mostly just classic metal, whereas Velicity's was a bit of both words and Jess' band had both extremes and collided them in perfect harmony. Every single one of the von Ness children were so involved with music and all of them stayed within the range of metal and classical - it was weird whenever anyone thought about it. Jessie's band, however, seemed to be the most dramatic out of all of them, causing Welcome the Silent Force to stand out a whole crapload this year. Of course, Disturb the Peace and The Phantom Agony were also highly anticipated bands awell, if not more than Jess', seeing as they were headliner bands and Jess' was just an opener, for now.
Another great band that she respected where 'Roaches in Hollywood', Tay's band. She wasn't particularily a fan of their music, but she saw what heart and soul went into their music and respected it greatly. Besides, the band members themselves were all great people and she admired each and everyone of them, including Tay. So, when the two of them ran into each other, she was anything but disappointed. Running a hand through her long, bright red hair, she pushed it all over to one side, still holding the album in her other hand. Laughing at Tay's comment, she gasped at the feel of her friend's fist on her shoulder, "Hey! Poopnose." she stated, pouting softly. Jess then leaned in and took a big, long whiff of her hair, "Nope, you don't smell bad, I'll give you that. On the contrary, you smell fantastic!" she explained before she laughed softly and leaned back. She enjoyed hanging around Tay, they had a lot in common when it came to their personality - both were very immature and liked acting rather childish whenever they could. It got on some people's nerves, but it wasn't like either of them really gave two fucks.
The nickname that Tay gave her caused Jess to become confused, "I don't look anything like Jessie J! That makes no sense!" she exclaimed before she raised an eyebrow at the keyboardist for 'Roaches in Hollywood', "Usually I'm called 'red' or 'baby von Ness'." she admitted, "However! Don't call me 'red', or else Thad might punch you square in the jaw." she added. 'Red' was more of a pet name for Jess from Thad, even though he had been calling her that ever since the two of them met, before they were dating, "The one I gave you makes sense, what you just calls me, makes no sense at all! Silly girl!" she explained before she poked Tay in the nose, "What are you doing here, anyways?" she asked, realizing that it was kind of odd for her to be hanging out at the mall by herself, then again...so was Jess.

710, JESSIE/CHARLIE, THIS IS SUPER LATE D: I HATE ESSAYS AGAIN, SORRY FOR TYPOS, OUTFIT, LISTENING TO SHE HAD THE WORLD BY PANIC! AT THE DISCO !
tower over me,
the childish girl with the longer, darker hair--and of course looked more like jessie j--was the perfect match for jessie, their personalities were so similar to each other that they were bound to get along. watching cartoons and throwing water balloons off of tall buildings were just some activities the two girls got up to, however sometimes tay would suddenly turn all motherly and just be a bit weirder. that included making jessie a sandwich half way through watching a disney movie despite the fact that they already had lots of junk food surrounding them. it was awkward at the time, but tay looks back on it as one of her stupid moments and just laughs about it with jessie. but you can't always take life too seriously, can you?
"Hey! Poopnose. Nope, you don't smell bad, I'll give you that. On the contrary, you smell fantastic!"
tay couldn't help but laugh at the other girl as she took a few strands of her dark hair and sniffed them. something about it reminded tay about lady and the tramp. huh, well jessie would definitely have to be lady, what with the red hair and all. tay would obviously be scamp. she loved scamp, "it's good to know that the cheap shampoo and conditioner do a good enough job," as much as tay hated the cheap stuff she was glad she had it and that it was doing the job of keeping her hair fairly clean and fresh. sometimes on the road the band had to make cut backs to save money for food, unfortunately for tay the bathroom supplies ended up being one of those things, "i can't say it's doing the job for the other though," for a long story short, tay showers a lot. she takes pride in the fact that she is so hygienic for being on the road nearly all year round.
"I don't look anything like Jessie J! That makes no sense! Usually I'm called 'red' or 'baby von Ness'. However! Don't call me 'red', or else Thad might punch you square in the jaw. The one I gave you makes sense, what you just calls me, makes no sense at all! Silly girl!"
tay huffed and crossed her arms, of course it didn't make sense. why did she even say that? well, tay doesn't exactly have a filter between her mouth and her brain, she usually just says what she thinks. it's probably one of her bigger downsides, "okay, i'll just call you jessica then, because i know how much you'll love that," tay winked jokingly as she spoke, hoping that being called the full version of 'jessie' would provoke jess slightly, but she hoped jess would take it as a joke still. tay hated being called 'taylor', it just sounded too formal to her. she hated the idea of being seen as a formal kind--despite the fact she's so childish--just because of being called 'taylor'. it wasn't her, she was the sort to go by something like 'black widow' just because of her love for the avengers, it definitely sent a more joking and care free kind of personality to the fans than her first name in full for sure.
"What are you doing here, anyways?"
tay pouted as jessie poked her nose gently, her face scrunched up but it soon turned back in to a soft smile that tay always had when she was around people she knew well, "oh, you know, just looking for my next victim," tay grinned lopsidedly, "i think you will do just fine," she poked her nose gently in return for the gesture she had previously displayed before laughing gently, it was more of a chuckle than anything though, "the guys didn't want to come shopping with me to fulfill my womanly needs of shopping, they just don't understand," she held up my bags to prove she had done some shopping but not a lot, mainly due to the fact that she had decided to stalk jessie around a music store, "they'd prefer play on fallout new vegas, they didn't even ask if i wanted to play!" tay tried to look offended but it turned in to a rather odd pout, "they know i love that game!"

as much as it hurts
As funny as it was for Tay to be calling her a celebrity that had no similarities in the slightest - sure, they had the same name but looks, music and personality wise, Jess assmued they were very different. This wasn't to say that Jessie didn't like Jessie J, The girl actually had real talent when it came to singing, but only when it wasn't one of her completely autotuned songs. Gross. That was something that Jessie would never understand - if your voice wasn't very good in the first place, why did they even bother? Honestly, the sound of autotuning to Jess was just as bad as someone being a terrible singer. If the sound was used for an affect? Like how Thad had used it in their song 'Lost', then she was cool with that. But otherwise, T-Pain could rot in the pits of hell. It was even worse when someone already did have a good voice! Why did they even need auto-tune, if they sound just as good live? When Jess had first started in the actual business, their first producer had told her she needed to put on a lot of auto tune, Jess refused and, after a band discussion, they dropper the producer and brought in another one who was just as against auto tuning as Jess was. He's been producing them ever since.
After Jess had given Tay's hair a good whiff, she had to admit she smelled like Jessie's favourite smell - shampoo. It was the best when someone had put their hair up in a bun right after a showrer, then let it down after a couple of hours. The smell would be so overwhelming but so delicious at the same time - Jess loved it. Reaching a hand up, she started to run her fingers thorugh her friends long, black strands, finding them to be amazingly soft, as always. Most of the time, when Jess and Tay would hang out together, Jess would do Tay's hair in fishtail brainds or updos, or anything that she felt like doing to it. Tay never seemed to mind, "What is it not doing? Your hair is super soft." she explained, reassuring her that the cheap stuff was, in fact, doing it's job, "Smells good, feels soft, what more can you want?" she asked before she smiled down at her friend. Jess was a bit taller than some of the girls on tour and a bit bigger built in an all around sense. She was at least two or threee enches taller than Tay and almost four when it came down to Rosie. But she was used to being the tallest of her friends, it was what made her unique.
"That would piss me off if my full name was actually 'Jessica', but it isn't." she retorted before she laughed and stuck her tongue out at her friends, "Nice try, Taylor." she teased, knowing it would piss off her friend, though she knew it was only a joke. At the sound of her story, Jess could sympathize, being surrounded by men sucked sometimes. That was probably why all of the girls on tour (that were in a band) got a long with each other so well. They had been alone and surrounded by men for so long, that when it came to time to actually having other girls on the tour, they all connected and became great friends! "I know what you mean." she started, "Thad said he'd come CD shopping with me, but this morning he seemed a tad bit hung over." she stated. Thad wasn't really that hungover, he just seemed exceedingly tired and had given him the chance to opt out, which he did. At the sound of 'Fallout: New Vegas', Jess smirked, "Nah mang, Skyrim all the way." she stated and laughed, "When it first came out, it was almost like I didn't have a relationship anymore, I was playing it so much." she explained shrugged, "I'm a nerd at heart."
