DROP A HEART AND BREAK A NAME Rosie's exhaustion was so great that even the walk across the road to the hotel where the tour's management team were staying was an effort. Thankfully, there were no cars, and she was able to dart across without walking up to the crossing and back. After nearly five hours of practice that evening, the usually bouncy redhead didn't have anything left. Drumming for almost the entire duration had left her arms sore, and the small keyboard piece she had to do had drained her mentally. Her bandmates had collapsed into their bunks and begun snoring as soon as they returned to their bus, but Rosie couldn't drift off. But now, nearly falling asleep on a short trip across the road for a few drinks with a friend, it was crossing her mind that perhaps she should have just tried to go to sleep for a few minutes longer. Then again, Rosie was never that patient.
Even as she entered the bright hotel lobby, her eyes were closing, and it was a wonder she was able to navigate her way into the elevator without the assistance of the hotel's staff. It seemed her claims of being unable to sleep were untrue; Rosie could probably curl up in the lift and sleep right then and there if she wanted to. But Aengus was expecting her, and it was rude to keep people waiting. Rosie knew that once she had a couple of whiskeys in her she'd perk up again. And if she didn't, she doubted Aengus would mind her sleeping on his floor, or something.
She let out a big yawn as the lift made it's way up to Aengus' floor, and moments later the doors opened again with a ding, announcing that they had reached their destination. Stifling another yawn, Rosie stepped out of the elevator, looking left and right for any sign of the room numbers.Seeing none, Rosie went with her gut and walked left. Not too long afterwards, she arrived outside the door.
Lifting a hand, she knocked gently on the door, attempting to be quiet in case the people in the neighboring rooms were asleep. Being rather irritable when she got woken up in the middle of the night, Rosie wouldn't want to wake them up. As she waited outside, Rosie wrapped her woolen cardigan tightly around herself. For a relatively nice looking hotel, it appeared that they didn't fork out for air conditioning in the middle of the night. Figures... Rosie thought as she waited uncharacteristically patiently for the door in front of her to open. WORDS 441 TAGGED AENGUS/CHARLIE NOTES SHORT AND CRAPPY. >_< TEMPLATE BY WE WERE INFINITE ! Lifting the bottle of whiskey to his lips, he took a big, long swig, prepared to not remember the night nor the day that he had just experienced. Usually, Aengus didn't subject himself to sitting in his hotel room, bottle in hand and drinking away his life by himself. No, he usually went out to pubs with friends and shared stories while they get heavily intoxicated and basically had to carry each other to a taxi. Tonight, though, what with Clio showing up and ruining everything he had worked so hard to hide, he couldn't help but to just start drinking. Honestly, she was the last person he wanted to see on this tour, if only because he cared so much for her anddidn't want to see the shame in her eyes. That was the reason he left in the first place, he was ashamed of himself and didn't want to see the look of shame on his friends' faces. Though he wasn't exactly drunk, he was just intoxicated enough to get on the computer, sign onto the communal chat that the tour had to offer and start chatting to people who she didn't exactly know. However, one of the people did stick out, Rosie Wilson. He knew her from Murder Mayhem, also because they had chatted a couple of times. She was a sparky, cute girl and the red hair was hard to miss; he had also managed to see a few of her sets, being impressed by her talents with both keys and drums. Now, seeing as he had been dirnking, feeling sorry for himself nad feeling lonely, he had asked the red head over for a drink...or five. He didn't really know what was going to become of it, but it was better than what he was doing right then and there. Hearing a knock on the door, he figured it was her and walked towards it. His steps were a tad bit wobbly, but he didn't really notice, as he reached for the door knob, turned it and opened the door. Standing more than foot above the tiny girl before him, he smiled in a friendly manner, " You found the place alright?" he asked, his scottish accent shining through, even moreso that he had something to drink. Stepping to the side (with great concentration I might add) he allowed Rosie in, " Welcome to my humble abode, lass. Dinna mind the mess." DROP A HEART AND BREAK A NAME As she had spoken to Aengus once or twice around tour, Rosie didn't see him as a complete stranger. Their conversations had been friendly, but brief, seeing as both of them had their own jobs to do, Aengus being a manager, and Rosie performing with Murder Mayhem. Rosie remembered being amazed the first time she had seen him. Aengus was a monster of a man, well over six foot, and whereas Rosie was closer to five feet tall, he had intimidated her for well over a second before she decided to speak to him. When she had done so, Aengus wasn't scary at all. Rosie adored his accent, and despite having only spoken to him once since, Aengus had interested her.
As the door opened, Rosie immediately craned her neck upwards. The sight of Aengus' face more than a foot above hers almost made her burst into hysterics. His Scottish accent made it worse. As wonderful as it sounded, it was far stronger than Rosie had ever heard it. Only just able to hold her giggling in, however, Rosie returned his friendly smile with one of her own. 'Yeahh... it was a lot easier to find than I thought it would be.' Rosie admitted with a small laugh, stepping past him into the room. In comparison to the bus she had left minutes earlier, the hotel room was practically spotless. 'Are you kidding me?' she said with another giggle. 'You should send your room service person to the Murder Mayhem bus. Pretty sure it's violating a few health codes, right now.' Turning to grin at Aengus, Rosie plopped herself down on the sofa. As she sat, she couldn't help but let loose another yawn. She covered her mouht, but it wasn't enough to stop her eyes from watering. 'You better get some whiskey in me now, otherwise you'll be drinking alone while I catch up on sleep.' Rosie blinked rapidly, trying to return to eyes to normal. Everything was a bit blurry. As she sat, she nestled down to get comfy while she waited for her drink.[/blockquote] [/div] WORDS ? TAGGED AENGUS/CHARLIE NOTES GAHH, THIS SUCKS. TEMPLATE BY WE WERE INFINITE ! Now that Rosie was actually over, he didn't exactly know what was going to happen. He didn't plan on doing anything, really, but he had a feeling (even through his drunken blindness) that something might happen between the two of them. At that moment, he wasn't too sure if it was a good or a bad idea. He had already slept with almost all of the girls in 'The Young Sound' and thus already created a conflict of interest, so what was the harm in going after Rosie Wilson? A member of a totally different band. Watching her walk in, he just realized the height difference between the two of them. Aengus was good six foor three, maybe even taller, and was basically just two hundred and thirty pounds of muscle. Rosie seemed to barely reach five foot one and couldn't be more than one hundred and twenty pounds. They would be an odd couple if anyone found out about anything that was probably going to happen in his hotel room.
After he had told her to ignore the mess, her response made him laugh whole heartedly, "Oh yes, I forgot ye live with a bunch of teenage boys." he stated before he nodded and closed the door behind him. Standing there for a moment, he heard her yawn and furrowed his eyebrows together a tad bit; he didn't like that hse was either bored or tired, especially since she just arrived. Looking at her, he walked over to the couch and took a seat beside her, "I guess we're goin ta have to remedy that now, won't we?" he explained before he held out the bottle of whiskey to her, "Dinna worry, I don't have any germs." he stated and smirked at her, "So, when was the last time ye wernna cooped up in a bus?" he asked, "And slept in an actual bed fo' once?" he asked, somewhat hinting at her spending the night with him.[style=text-align:center; margin-top: -10px; font-family: arial narrow; font-size: 9px; letter-spacing: 1px; background-color:#e2e2e2; padding: 3px; color:#585858;] 387 WORDS , OPEN , TOO LAZY , HOLY SHIT THIS IS HORRIBLE. DROP A HEART AND BREAK A NAME To be honest with herself, Rosie hadn't intending to spend the night in the hotel room, much less have something happen between her and Aengus. Yes, he was rather handsome, and she'd be a liar if she said that she didn't find him attractive. Even so, if something were to happen, it wouldn't be a big deal. At least, it wouldn't be for Rosie.
'Yeah, it's not always the boys' making the mess, though,' Rosie said, with another light chuckle. 'Pretty sure us girls are just as bad...' And it was true. Most of the clothes and other belongings that were strewn about her bus were hers, or Faye's, or Amanda's. A mess seemed inevitable when they were all thrown into such a small space to live in for the next few months. Even so, Rosie adored the touring lifestyle, and despite the mess, she was having the time of her life. Rosie smiled as Aengus sat down and offered the bottle out to her. 'You sure you don't have germs?' she teased, giving him a questioning glance, before grabbing the bottle from him anyway and having a swig. Her eyes immediately closed as the liquid burnt her throat, but it did it's job. The whiskey immediately warmed her up, making her feel far less tired than before. Amazed, she took another big mouthful, her eyes watering slightly as she swallowed. A wide grin was on her face as she handed it back to Aengus, ready to answer his questions. 'Let's see...' Rosie said, finding it hard to remember when she wasn't sleeping on a bunk in a smelly tour bus. 'That would have been back in Toronto. I actually live there, so right before tour started.' His second question merely made her raise her eyebrow slightly, giving him a sideways glance. Unsure whether to take it as a hint or not, Rosie remained silent for a few moments longer, and then launched her own questions at him. 'What about you?' Rosie asked in turn, looking up at him. Even sitting down it was rather hard for her to crane her neck, so she slouched a bit to get more comfy. 'Surely you don't sleep in nice hotel rooms and drink alone all the time?' she couldn't keep a smirk of her face by this point. 'And I imagine it'd be a bit hard to manage The Young Sound from the Scottish Highlands, right?' A cheeky grin spread across Rosie's face as her eyes watched his face. Maybe she was being a bit nosy, but Rosie didn't care, or was even aware of it. She enjoyed merely talking to people, finding out about them. People were interesting. Of course, if he didn't want to talk, Rosie would back off. Privacy was perhaps one of the few things she did respect.[/blockquote] [/div] WORDS 478 TAGGED AENGUS/CHARLIE NOTES MEEP~ TEMPLATE BY WE WERE INFINITE ! OF CAUTION 2.0

As wealthy as Aengus was, he never liked to flaunt it in front of people; he knew how to be humble simply because he had lived a majority of his life poor and living off nothing but the land. However, just because he didn't flaunt it, didn't mean he didn't take advantage of his wealth. Instead of sleeping on the cramped buses, he rented a hotel room every night; he wasn't one for sharing anyways. Plus, after what had happened back in New York, he liked having his privacy and his own space to work in, if only because he didn't want anyone to find out what had happened. That brought us to the reason why he was drinking in the first place; Clio had shown up and now he was all flippy floppy over what to do. He didn't usually handle situations like this well in the first place. Shove him in a business room? Yeah, he'd obliterate the opposition, but in real life, with his own personal issues? No. Not a clue how to tackle them down and figure them out.
Hearing her question his germs, he smirked at her before watching her swig back a big gulp and then another. Seeing that, he was slightly impressed, "Aye, lass. You sure know how to hold your drink for such a small thing." he stated before nodding in approval. She was quite small compare to him and, honestly, he figured that the whiskey would affect her much more than it did him - he had downed half the bottle and he still wasn't that drunk.
As she answered his questions, he nodded, "Wow, I dinna know how ye can share a whole bus full of people." he admitted before she asked if he got a hotel room every tour date, "Yeah, I do. I dinna like sharing my space. I like my privacy/" he explained before he shrugged and took anothe swig of his whiskey, "Obviously, I enjoy the company over every once in a while, but more often than no, I like being alone." he explained to her, hoping he didn't come off as some anti-social asshole, "Everyone likes their privacy, don't they?" |

DROP A HEART AND BREAK A NAME As lovely as the hotel room Rosie was sitting in, she knew she could never distance herself from the tour like Aengus had done. As messy and tiny as the Murder Mayhem bus was, it was all part of the experience. Bonding with your band-mates, fighting and then overcoming their difficulties was all part of being on tour. Aengus' hotel room was gorgeous; rather luxurious, but it was too clean. Too quiet. Rosie imagined it would be rather quiet. And while Rosie understood that that may have been how Aengus wanted it, it was far too noiseless for her. And that made her, if only for a moment, feel a little sorry for Aengus.
Her sympathy was pushed to the back of her mind when Aengus complimented Rosie on her ability to hold alcohol. Unable to keep a smile off her face, Rosie beamed at him. 'Why, thank you.' she said cheerily, her cheeks reddening slightly. Truth was, she couldn't hold her alcohol nearly as well as Aengus thought. In mere minutes, the whiskey would have its effect on her, and she'd be bouncing off the walls. Already she was beginning to forget that she had been tired only a few moments before. Rosie shrugged as Aengus wondered how she could share a bus with so many people. 'There's not many of us, really.' she explained. Many people didn't like sharing buses, and opted out of sharing them by staying in hotels, like Aengus and some of the tour staff. But being around people was what Rosie loved. That, and her complete lack of personal space, meant she was perfectly happy to be crammed into buses and share such a limited space with her friends. She wouldn't have it any other way. Nodding as Aengus explained himself to her, Rosie understood. While some people were open about everything about their selves, like Rosie, there were some who like to keep low. Whether there were reasons for that, or just their personalities, Rosie didn't know. Some times, she liked to pry, but tonight, with the whiskey in her system, she didn't want to be burdened. 'That's perfectly understandable,' Rosie spoke slowly, her eyes watching his face carefully. 'Not everyone likes being stuck on a bus.' With that she reached out her hand for some more whiskey. It was taking longer to get to her head than she had thought it would.[/blockquote] [/div] WORDS 405 TAGGED AENGUS/CHARLIE NOTES MEEP~ TEMPLATE BY WE WERE INFINITE ! OF CAUTION 2.0

The longer that Aengus stayed on the tour, the more he was realizing that he really enjoyed it. He knew that, when he took the job, that he would enjoy it - or else he wouldn't have taken it - but now that he was actually in it all, he only wanted to be more and more involved. The girl were great and they made life easy, for the most part, but he wanted to do something more, for the whole tour, not just for his girls, At the same time, he knew he couldn't just up and ditch the girls, he had grown close to them and he knew they had already been through a couple of managers. They were like his family now, even though he had slept with pretty much all of them. Each time had been somewhat of an accident and Aengus always made it clear that it wouldn't happen again. The only thing he could hope for, was that the girls didn't know about their separate encounters with him. Honestly, Aengus didn't think he would be able to handle the drama, if they all found out that they had all slept with him. The very thought caused a shiver to run up his spine in anxiousness and fear.
Quickly, Aengus washed away those thoughts with a big swig of whiskey. Instantly, the warmth filled him and he felt better. A soft nod was his response to her thanking him for the compliment. Of course, he had no idea if she could, actually, actually hold her alcohol. He would find out in a couple of minutes if the alcohol truly affected her or not, and Aengus was more than prepared to take care of her, if need be. Always the gentlemen, Aengus was. Running a hand through his blond hair, he chuckled and shrugged, "I dinno, lass. I've lived with six people in one household, and I still lost my mind. The house was also a lot bigger, too." he explained and nodded at her confidently before taking another swig.
After that last swig, Aengus really felt the alcohol hit him and he knew that he needed to slow down, if only not to pass out in front of his guest, that would be horrible manners. Handing her the bottle again, he wiped his mouth and smiled softly at her, "Good, I dinna wanna seem like one of those stuck up rich folk who like to separate them from everyone else." he explained and shrugged. Leaning back into the couch, he let his arm drape over the back of it behind her, "So, you still tired, there lass?" he asked, giving her a sly smirk. |

DROP A HEART AND BREAK A NAME Though Murder Mayhem had not been touring for as many years as some of the bands on this tour, Rosie had loved it from the moment she had gone on the road, and was sure she'd always love it. There was something about travelling across the country and beyond that she loved, and being able to play for hundreds of different people everyday was mindblowing. It was a lifestyle she'd never tire of, and hoped to continue with it for many years to come.
Six people in one house? Rosie's eyes widened at the thought. It sounded amazing to her but by the way Aengus was talking about it, he hadn't enjoyed it very much at all. "Was that with family? Or were you with room-mates?" If it was the former, Rosie would have no hope of understanding. Being an only child, she hadn't had to share space with siblings, only her parents. Even with room-mates, Rosie shared an apartment back home with one of her band-mates, and although it was pretty small, they had no problem with the limited space. It was safe to say, Rosie didn't understand Aengus' need for personal space at all. But that was what fascinated her. Rosie grinned as Aengus handed her the whiskey bottle back, taking another swig. Ignoring the burning in the back of her throat as she swallowed, she wiped her mouth with the back of her hand. "Well, I mean," Rosie spoke slowly. "Your band's all female, right? Some people might not like it if you shared a bus with them, you know? And not to mention, us girls can be super loud. You'd never get any sleep!" With a laugh, Rosie fell into a comfortable silence. She was oblivious to the fact Aengus had placed his arm over the couch behind her. Fighting the urge to belch, Rosie covered her mouth, tucking her legs up into her chest. "No, not really." Rosie said with a shrug. She could already feel the whiskey taking its effect on her, her head feeling light, but not yet dizzy, her eyes focusing oddly. But more than anything, her tiredness was abating, being replaced by her usual need to get up and do something. Already she was fidgeting, finding it hard to get comfortable on the sofa. "Hotels never have comfortable couches..." she mused aloud, rearranging the cushion she was sitting on. "How can you stand not having a decent couch to sit on, hmm?" The question was directed at Aengus, even if she was paying him much attention at that moment. When it was clear Rosie wouldn't be getting comfortable anytime soon, she fell back with a defeated sigh, hitting Aengus' arm with her head. "Ooh, sorry!" she called, putting her hand where she had hit his limb.[/blockquote] [/div] WORDS 468 TAGGED AENGUS/CHARLIE NOTES MEEP~ TEMPLATE BY WE WERE INFINITE ! OF CAUTION 2.0

Throughout the tour, Aengus had been secretly rating every single one of the hotels that he stayed in. Some were much better than others and, unfortunately for himself and Rosie, this was not one of them. Sure it was decent and clean, but compared to some of the other hotel rooms that he had been in, this one was nothing. He felt somewaht pretentious, knowing that he was secretly being a hotel critic, but he couldn't help but compare. After being in so many hotel rooms, one could only start to compare them, it was human nature. This one that they were in now would probably be in the middle of his list, seeing as he had a couple of times were he would find a used condom or some lube. God, one time he had even found a twenty inch dildo in the bathroom. You'd think that would be hard to miss, but apparently it was over looked; though he found it amusing, he also found it absolutely disgusting.
Through his buzzed state, it took him a moment to realize that she was asking about his situation where he lived with six people and his answer was simple, "My family." he replied and nodded softly, "Two brothers, two sisters, me ma and me pa." he explained, holding up his fingers as he counted, "Six. A big, scottish family filled with stubborn drunks." he joked before he smirked at her, lifted the bottle and took a swig. It was then that he realized he was getting a little bit passed tipsy and that he should slow down, in case something happened, "That's true." he replied to her. nodding at the fact that all of his band were girls. "They're also whiney! They never shut up about how they're hair isn't perfect or 'oh no I have a zit!'" he mimicked the girl's voice before pretending to be stressed about it, "Boo hoo! Go cry to your mother!" he explained before he looked at her and grinned, "No offense."
When she bumped her hand against his arm, he shook his head, "Not a worry, lass." he stated before he put his arm up and over her shoulders, "I dinna mind if ye touch me." he explained before he smirked at her and handed her the bottle again, "Imma thinkin' ye need to catch up." he added, chuckling after.[style=text-align:center; margin-top: -10px; font-family: arial narrow; font-size: 9px; letter-spacing: 1px; background-color:#e2e2e2; padding: 3px; color:#585858;] 387 WORDS , OPEN , TOO LAZY , HOLY SHIT THIS IS HORRIBLE.
