SO, WE ARE SITTING HERE WITH THE LOVELY AND TALENTED ABBY FLETCHER! IT WAS ACTUALLY HER BIRTHDAY JUST LAST WEEK, WHAT DAY WAS THAT AGAIN?
It was three days ago, so that would have made it October 19th? Yes, I do believe so. [laughs] I don't even know my own bloody birthday.

WELL, WE ALL DO. SO, YOU JUST MOVED FROM LONDON TO CALIFORNIA, HOW IS THAT WORKING FOR YOU?
It's going really well, actually. I didn't think I would like it here as much as I would? I mean, I'm just so used the english way of things that coming down here was sort of a culture shock. [laughs] but now that I've been here for about a month I think i've got the hang of it.

WHY DID YOU DECIDE TO BECOME 'A TASTEFUL DEATH'S' MANAGER? THAT'S A BIT OF A CHANGE ISN'T IT?
Well, yeah. Going from being a jazz, pop singer to becoming a manger to a heavy metal band it a big change. But I honestly think that this is going to improve not only myself as a person. but as an artist, working with every different genre.

ARE YOU DONE WITH WRITING MUSIC FOREVER OR IS THIS GOING TO JUST BE A HIATUS?
This is definitely a hiatus, I don't think I could ever stop writing music; but I had accomplished so much at such an early age that I just had to take a step back and do something else for a bit. I mean, what other twenty-something year old can you go up to, ask if they've won five gramnmys and have them say yes? [laughs] You know? So, yeah. It's just a break.

WHEN DID YOU DECIDE THAT COMING ONTO THE TOUR WAS SUCH A GOOD IDEA?
I had heard through the grape vine that this band was the band that no one could ever handle. So, I thought to myself 'Okay, I like a challenge, I wanna try something new. Maybe this could be good for me'. I'm still not sure if this was exactly the best idea, but...[laughs] we'll see how it goes.

HAVE YOU EVEN MET THE BAND YET?
I have, yes. Zach made a very memorable impression by insulting me a couple of times before going back to his bunk. Everyone else seemed a bit rambunctious but they all seemed like decent people. [shrugs]

TELL US A LITTLE BIT ABOUT YOUR HOME LIFE BEFORE FAME, WHAT WAS IT LIKE?
I was born and raised in London, England; my dad was a factory worker and my mum was teacher, neither of them really all that musically talented. I was, and still am, the only child they ever had together until they divorced when I was six. I lived with my mum most of the time because she could support me better than my dad did. That wasn't to say my dad wasn't a good father, he just didn't have the finances for both him and I to have a comfortable living space. I would see him on weekends and stuff like that, but my mum had full custody of me. I had my first boyfriend when I was seventeen and I thought I had found the 'one'. Like, I was completely and totally in love with him, but when he cheated on me and left me for my best friend, I had just completely broke down. By that time I had been playing piano for about six or seven years? But I had never really thought about singing, I had written several songs beforehand and always thought that I would get someone else to sing them. However, after that ex-boyfriend, I decided that I would try singing. Then everything sort of took off from there. [shrugs]

PEOPLE ADMIRE YOU FOR THE FACT THAT YOU AREN'T A SIZE TWO AND THAT YOU DON'T TAKE SHIT FROM ANYONE FOR IT. WHAT'S YOUR SECRET?
I always remind myself that it's my body and if I feel beautiful then it really doesn't matter what anyone else thinks. If I stand in the mirror, look at myself and go, "Daym gurl, you look fiiine". Then no one else matters. Honestly, as long as you are confident in yourself and believe, in your heart, that you're beautiful, men will fall at your feet.

OKAY, NOW WE ARE MOVING ONTO THE EASY QUESTIONS, READY?
Fuck yeah.

WHAT ARE SOME OF YOUR FAVOURITE THINGS IN LIFE?
Food. [laughs loudly] I love food. i don't care what people say, food is my bestfriend. It never judges me. [keeps laughing loudly] I also love animals, mostly dogs. Weiner dogs mostly. I have one myself named titan. He's my baby. [smiles big] Uhm...[ponders] I love snow. I love winter just because I'm not the type of person to wear revealing clothes? So in winter it's perfect because I can layer up as much as I want and not die of heat. [laughs] I am also a huge hopeless romantic. I believe in true love and all of that sappy rubbish that is in stories. Am I allowed to say I like sex on here? [laughs] I don't want to corrupt anyone. I love sex. Of course ,it's just below food. [laughs] Nah I'm kidding/

AND SOME THINGS YOU HATE?
I hate, hate rain. It ruins my hair and my make up. It also just makes everything so depressing and dreary. Yuck. I hate people who think they are better than others just because of the way they look or what they have accomplished in their life. I don't think the amount of money you make or how much weight you lost makes you a better person than someone else. It's fucking stupid. I hate the obvious things, homophobia, racism, sexism, you know that stuff. It's just blood ignorance, that's all it is. [shrugs] I'm sorry, but those people are just fucking chavs.

WHAT DO YOU DO IN YOUR SPARE TIME?
Reading. I do a lot of reading. All of my friends call me a book worm and they get pissed off sometimes because that's all I want to talk about sometimes. Like, if I read a good book, I want to tell everyone about it. Obviously writing; I write a lot when I'm feeling really strongly about something. I can't just write about some old thing, I have to feel it on the inside so strong that I feel like I'll explode if I don't write about it. That's what most of my albums are about. Me going through something that I would have died from if I hadn't written about it. I love just having a laugh with the girls. I go out and drink, for sure. I'm not so much into the club scene, per say? But I'll go to a pub and drink. [laughs] The more I talk about myself, I realize just how out of place I'm going to be on the tour. [laughs loudly] Fuck.
