All in all, figuring everything out was in his hands and if things didn't go the way he wanted them to, he didn't know what he was going to do. Day after day he would smooth out wrinkles and make sure that every single detail was covered before he could even think about taking a break. He had to admit, he was looking forward to the actual award show, but until the time actually came that he would be on the carpet, walking down towards the arena, there was just no way he was taking a break. Whenever he would get a phone call, he would expect the worst, someone telling him that something had fallen through or that they couldn't book a certain flight. However, he had only got one phone call like that and it wasn't even that serious. Apparently one of the girl's dressed had been fit wrong and needed to go back to the designer. That was an easy enough fix and Aengus had got a new dress lined up in no time.
However, as the vent started to draw nearer and nearer, he realized that he was probably going alone. That was when he had thought of Clio, who else could he possibly take? She was the only obvious choice and Aengus wouldn't have had it any other way, especially since everything that had happened between him and her. He was sure she was going to say yes, and when she did, he got more excited than he probably should have. Obviously the relationship between himself and Clio was platonic, except for the feelings that Aengus was hiding deep within him. He couldn't tell Clio those sort of things, not now, when their relationship was getting put back together to the way that it had been before; she was his best friend and he knew that him confessing his feelings could ruin it all. Even if she did feel the same was, things could easily get complicated and he honestly preferred to keep things the way they were. Clio was one of most important people to him and, seeing as he had left everything he knew behind, she was his one constant. There was no way he was going to throw that away.
Now that the day had finally arrived and they had gone through all of the muss and fuss: catching a flight, finding a hotel, getting separate rooms and now getting ready for the award show, Aengus was anxious to see just what Clio was going to be wearing for when they walked down the carpet. Looking himself once more in the mirror, he straightened his dress shirt and looked down at his pants, making sure they were ironed and ready to go. Running a hand through his hair, seeing that he probably needed a cut, he figured that maybe he would let it grow out again. When he figured that he was now well dressed enough to go get Clio, he walked out of his room and walked up to hers, which was just right beside his own. Knocking on the door softly, he put his free hand in his pocket before he gently called out to her through the door, "Clio! Are ye ready, yet?" |

[atrb=border,0,true][atrb=style,width: 350px; padding: 10px; background-image: url(http://i.imgur.com/w6MZf.png);] somewhere perfection lies This whole award show was driving poor Clio up the wall. They had asked her to help them with some things and well, Clio never minded helping someone. She guessed MTV told them she would be on the tour and they had asked her to come in and run over a few things. Of course, she had no problem with that either. But now they were just driving her crazy and she had been up all night fixing whatever problems they had. By the time she was done with fixing and picking out a dress for the whole thing. The fact that she had no date hit her in the face like a brick. Oh fuck She had thought when she paced her bus back and forth. It didn't really hit her that maybe Aengus would take her.
That was a few days ago of course, now they were going together. She didn't really mind that at all. Their friendship was getting back to the way it was which made her happy. even though the feelings she had developed for him were starting to bug her. She hated that part. She didn't..want him to know that she felt that way. she was just the best friend right? There was no way that he would ever like her that way anyways. Clio was pretty she knew that. But she knew that she was probably wasn't his type. Hell she had no idea what his type was but to be honest she tried not to pay attention. She didn't want to get hurt. Clio hated that feeling it made her miserable and she rather be positive.
After relaxing well, relaxing for her for a few days. The night was finally there and she had to get dressed. It wasn't hard, finding a dress. Clio was never really picky and she knew her mother knew some nice designers. The dress she was sent by her mother was gorgeous. She was happy with it and it took her a few minutes to get on. She heard her name being called as she finished applying make up, dark eyes, red lips. She decided to wear her hair down this time, knowing she had no time to put it up. Stepping away from the mirror, she headed towards the door, opening it and looking over Aengus. "I'm ready I'm ready ! You look handsome." She said as she leaned her shoulder against the door frame.

It wasn't ridiculous, but it was long enough so that, if he wanted to, he could put it in a bit of a ponytail. He kind of preferred it at that length though, seeing as he had grown up with it and had basically kept it a certain length for so long. It was only until he decided to go on the tour that he chopped it all off and kept it maintained, figuring that it symbolized a fresh start to his new life. However, now that Clio was back in the picture, he figured it would be alright to keep growing his hair out again. Besides, he could tell that she preferred it that length, anyways, and he wanted to keep her happy. He knew that he had royally messed up their friendship by just up and leaving like that, but he was willing to do anything to make it up to her. She was pretty much the only thing that made him happy now a days, so he figured that her being happy meant that he would be happy as well.
As he walked across the hall to her door, he straightened out his vest and dusted off his pants, not really knowing what to expect when she opened that door. Clio had always seemed to be the type to set a trend, so he could only guess what she would have on for the awards. As much as he didn't want to admit it, he was excited to have her as his date, someone as beautiful and beaming as herself. Plus, he had really always thought about leaving his girlfriend for Clio, but he figured that he was in love with his ex. Well, that was mistake now, wasn't it? Even now, seeing as they were both single, Aengus thought about making a move, but then he usually tensed up and backed out because he didn't want to ruin the friendship that they had. It was perfect, so why would he want to ruin it with something like a relationship.
However, all of those thoughts went out the window as she opened the door and revealed herself to him. For a moment he was completely speechless, just completely dumbfounded by the immense beauty that he portrayed by just standing in the door way. After a moment or two, he gently shook her head and cleared his throat, "Lord almighty..." he started before her chuckled nervously and shrugged softly, "Ye look stunnin', Clio." he explained before he looked her up and down, "Canna think o' a better person to take with me..." he stated before he held out his hand for her to take, "Shall we?" |

[atrb=border,0,true][atrb=style,width: 350px; padding: 10px; background-image: url(http://i.imgur.com/w6MZf.png);] somewhere perfection lies If you thought Clio knew that this was all going to happen, well you were wrong. She didn't know she'd fine Aengus again. She had no idea that any of this was going to happen and to be honest it had been a blur to her and she was so busy she forgot to talk to at least one of her siblings. She had her phone blowing up with texts from them that she never answered but she was distracted by Aengus and her work. Maybe that was a good thing though, She knew her sister or her brothers might not take the news all that well. She didn't know why or how they saw it but she was hurt and she did try to hide it. But they were her siblings they saw right through her. She knew that they wouldn't be too thrilled. She figured she'd tell them when she was ready although, she figured that her mother had told them. Clio could never hide anything from her mom or her other best friend in the city Max it was impossible to just not tell them. They had to know, besides Max guessed it right away when she called and her best friend cold tell she was pretty happy just by her voice. Hell, maybe this was a good thing.
The dress she had one was pretty awesome she had to admit. She was also pretty happy that she was the type of girl who could balance in heels. Because the shoes her mother brought were cute but she knew if she was younger she would of tripped over herself a dozen times already. She hated to admmit it but she was nervous, only slightly. She didn't really know why maybe because it was Aengus and she just didn't really know how to handle being his date because she usually wasn't in that position. She ran kept trying to straighten out her dress, making sure it looked perfect. To be quite honest, she wanted to say something to him about what she felt. But Clio was never the type of person to do that and especially now. She was too much of a chicken and she didn't need to lose him again.
She waited for him to say something else. She thought it was funny how he stood there for a moment. She smiled at him shaking her head. "Thanks" She said quietly, blushing a tiny bit. Goddamnit, she didn't want her face to be flushed or anything like that. "Me neither I mean, you make a pretty good date." She told him, laughing softly as she took his head. "I think we shall" She closed the door behind her and slipped her hotel key into the little purse she had in her other hand.

He didn't really want to think of the whole thing as a date, but it was hard to when the whole premise of the thing was to take her as his date. Another thing was that Aengus hadn't really gone on a date in a very long time, at least two to three years, which only made this even harder for him. He felt like he was fifteen again, waiting for the pretty girl to answer the door so that he could take her to prom or something. It was childish, but Aengus kind of liked the feeling as well as resented it. He didn't want to think of Clio in this sort of way, she was his best friend, nothing more but certainly nothing less. It killed him to know that the two of them had been close for so long and that only now did he really think about being with her as something other than just friends.
When she had opened the door and revealed herself to him, he couldn't help but have those thoughts become more and more prominent in his mind. She looked absolutely beautiful and all Aengus wanted to do was touch her in some sort of way that would so much more than just friendliness. Finally, once he managed to get the words out, he chuckled at her reply and ran a hand through his hair and shrugged softly, "I guess we make a good power couple, then." he explained before he took her hand in his and started to lead her towards the limo that was waiting outside for them, "Where do you find a dress like that, anyways?" he asked, looking at her up and down before stopping on her face, being slightly taken aback by her beauty for only the umpteenth time. |

[atrb=border,0,true][atrb=style,width: 350px; padding: 10px; background-image: url(http://i.imgur.com/w6MZf.png);] somewhere perfection lies It was bad that she had to keep tell herself that they were just best friends. It was something she commonly told herself. She hated thinking about him like that. She thought it was wrong, of course. Because she really doubted that he felt the same way. She knew that these two were just going as friends. But she just...she just saw it as some kind of a date even though she didn't want to. Clio felt a bit nervous as always. Clio was always nervous with Aengus after everything. She had no idea if she would ever make the wrong move. She didn't want to screw up their friendship. She didn't want that at all. Clio just pushed every thought of it out of her head. Despite how much she wanted them to be more than friends.
Clio couldn't help but feel slightly uncomfortable in the small silence between them. She figured because she had no idea what really to say except for the thoughts that were going through her head and she certainly didn't think blurting those out loud would be appropriate. Clio just smiled at him though. "Like barbie and ken." she said with a grin and just shaking her head. She wasn't nearly as perfect as Barbie. She was gathering her thoughts as they made their way out to the limo when he asked where she got the dress. Clio shrugged her shoulders. "My mother of course. Do you think I would actually pick something like this out?" She said with a smile. "I like it though." She shrugged a bit. Her mother always had good taste.

He knew that by taking her people would assume that they were together, but they weren't, they were just friends. That was all that they could ever be, in Aengus' eyes at least. Even though he knew he had these feelings for her, he couldn't ever act on them, he wouldn't. Clio was the one constant thing in his life and if he lost her again, he would probably just give up. Money didn't really buy him a lot of happiness; sure he could get any material thing he wanted, but when it came down to true friendship, like the one that him and Clio had, he could never buy that. At the same time, he had the urge to tell her how he felt, let her know that he wanted to be more than what they were, but then his logic would kick in, screaming at him not to do it.
As they walked towards the limo, he looked at her dress and listened to her speak, "Your mother usually knows what suits you." he explained before the driver opened the door for them. He gestured for her to sit inside before he tipped the driver and sat in beside her, "You're planning to save a dance for me, right?" he asked before he smirked at her. At the same time, he lifted his arm and laid it across the back of the seats, still looking at her as he did so. He had missed spending this kind of time with her, seeing as he had just up and left for a while, "Because I know you're gunna have guys all over you tonight, so you better book me a spot." he teased before he nudged her a bit. [atrb=border,0,true][atrb=style,width: 350px; padding: 10px; background-image: url(http://i.imgur.com/w6MZf.png);] somewhere perfection lies Clio wondered how bad the gossip blogs were going to attack this. She knew it would happen. She couldn't avoid something like that, neither could the gossip blogs. They'd surely have something to say. She'd just have to do her best to ignore them. That usually helped her. Because she was convinced that one day she would have to tell him. She didn't know how to tell him how she felt. They could only be friends and she would have to live with that as much as she detested it. She could find someone else. Everyone said she was a pretty girl but she just didn't want anyone else. Clio figured that she'd just live with fifteen cats on a farm and she would be content with that and they would stay friends and that's how it was going to be...forever...she hated that thought.
Clio grinned and shook her head as he spoke. "Of course she does. She spent most of my life dressing me up to show off." She said with a soft laugh as she got into the car. Clio rested her elbow on the the little arm think and looked at Aengus as he slid in next to her. Clio gave him a grin. "Maybe." she said joking and shrugging her shoulders, shaking her head. "Oh I highly doubt that. I think it's you who will be getting all the dances." She said, nudging him back.

Now was no time to be thinking about what he wanted to do to her, what he wanted from her, he had to remind himself that he would never have it. Aengus was far too insecure about the whole relationship as it was, he didn't know how he would be able to handle it if he started dating Clio. He knew that he would be extremely jealous and much too over protective, something that would eventually get in the way and end the relationship, or so he figured. Running a hand through his hair, he finally managed to push he thoughts back far enough to listen to the words she was saying.
"At least she dressed you well. Besides, you can't blame her, having two other boys and all." he stated and shrugged, "I know how excited my mom was when my first sister was born, she went all out." he explained and nodded. Shaking his head at her next statement, he looked out of the window, "Nah, I'll be left in the corner just mindin' my own business." he stated before he looked back at her, "Watching you have the time of your life dancing with some bloke who you just met." he teased before he leaned into his seat.
