Lucifer the Macaw.
Bronx got Lucy a little over three years ago and has since developed a very close bond with him. He treats the bird like his own child, sparing no expense and supplying Lucy with all kinds of toys and healthy food. Bronx will literally take time out of his day to spend time with his Macaw and show the affection the bird needs. Lucifer has free reign of Bronx’s apartment almost all of the time and he certainly makes himself heard with all of the things he can say. In fact, Bronx is so attached to the macaw that he brought Lucy on tour; and now the bird (almost always) has free reign over the tour bus.
history ,
On the very day that Bronx Ward was born, he was in for quite a wild ride. Bronx's childhood wasn’t exactly the easiest to get through and it all started when he was born. Both of his parents were deadbeats from the very beginning who, although provided their son with the necessities, didn’t provide him with the love and affection that he needed. Things only started getting worse and by the time he was eight years old, he was taken from his home and shunted into the system. After that, he spent quite a few years bouncing from foster home to foster home without ever finding a permanent one. Well, that is, until his grandparents were found and they made the offer to accept him into their home. After spending six years in the system, then fourteen-year-old Bronx was sent back to Vancouver, reunited with his loving grandparents. After that, things only seemed to get better and better.
The first couple years he spent in living with his grandparents were what he believed to be the best years of his life. Not only was he living with family again, family who he'd actually adored rather than some strange foster parents, but he was finally tied down and living in one place. He had chances to make friends, which he did, and to have relationships, which eventually, he did. On top of all that, there was also the fact that he was given the chance to take a few guitar lessons here and there. The lessons turned out to be a very good idea because he was eventually asked by a couple of his friends to join their band.
Preceding that, life got to be pretty damn sweet. The years that followed involved him moving out of his grandparents’ place, getting (and getting fired from) a few jobs here and there and, of course, riding on Disturb The Peace's coattails to success. Before he knew it, the band was gaining a solid fan base, and he moved into an apartment that he could actually decorate and paint with whatever his heart desired.
Obviously, it wasn’t all sunshine and rainbows. Bronx did struggle with financial issues here and there, especially after his grandfather had fallen ill and he started doing his best to take some of the pressure off by paying a medical bill here and there along the way.
Things got extremely hard when his grandfather died. Despite the rough patches he'd been through in his life, the death of his grandfather was the hardest. He didn't know how to handle such dark and all-consuming grief. He stuck around for the important bits - the phone calls from family and friends, comforting his grandmother, attending the funeral - but then he took off. He left everything behind; including his band, parrot and grandmother. The only thing he brought with him was some clothes and his acoustic guitar.
Bronx was gone for a good long month, trying to figure out how best to say goodbye to his grandpa. He migrated south and eventually ended up in California; playing guitar for coins, spending all his money on gas and living on little food. Regardless, it was the best trip he'd ever taken, and by the time he returned to Vancouver he was back to his normal Bronx-y self.
Now, at twenty-four years old, he doesn't have much to complain about. His grandmother's alive and well, he's on a rock tour with all of his very best friends and his macaw and Disturb the Peace is steadily growing in fame and success. There's not much more a guy like Bronx could want.
