It was going to be there third album together and Jess was determined to make it outshine any other they had created. Obviously, the genre stayed the same - one the band had morphed and made together and had now become their signature. The genre was a meeting of grand symphonies and heavy metal, something that had been done before, sure. Look at Kamelot and Nightwish, but Jess took pride in the fact that both sides of the collided genres were much more extreme and more differenciated than those of their sister bands. It was definitely somethign that caught many peoples attention, whenever they played tours. It was obvious that they were one of the most seperated genres that the tour had brought on, and they knew that. Though 'Welcome the Silent Force' was only an opener, their ticket sales proved to show otherwise. Though, Jess figured the reasoning was because of the exposure that the tour had brought them. The 'All out of Hardcore' tour was world wide known and had been going on for years - it was honor, in Jessie's eyes, to be apart of it, even as an opener.
Another difference when it came to this tour, was that the band was writing a new album while they were traveling. Sometimes it got frustrating, especially when it cam to juggling her time; there was hardly any time for herself, let alone to squeeze in time with her boyfriend, her friends, the fans, excetra. But, she had to admit that she was enjoying the challenge and it helped that all of the people that mattered supported her and understood when she said she didn't have time to hang out. Honestly, Jess knew she was blessed and she never took advantage of it - or, at least, she didn't think that she did. She liked to think that she treated her friends right and respectfully.
When it came down to the writing of the album, Jessie had a lot on her shoulders, not only was she the vocalist, she wrote most of the lyrics as well as the symphonic parts of the songs. This left half of the work up to her and the rest up to the other band members. This was, in no way, to say that they did less for the band. Jess wouldn't be nearly as successful if she didn't have them to back her up and she knew that. She was grateful and more than happy to have them in the band with her. They were her second family and the band wouldn't have the same sound without each individual band member giving their soul. That was what they all gave (or what any artist gave) when it came down to making a band work, making their dream work.
So, even after hours and hours of listening to her guitarist play the same riff over and over again, she stayed and waited for her turn to go up and sing the vocal part over the particular song they were working on. However, there was only so long she could sit and listen before she had to give herself some sort of interaction. Luckily for her, she had a handful of friends that she could call to come in and keep her some sort of company. Even luckier for her, one of her best friends, Rosie Wilson, had picked up and said 'yes' to her coming down to the studio and hanging out with her. It was going to be kind of nice to have another woman in the room. Being surrounded by men - sometimes it just wasn't enough.
When the door opened and Jess saw the petite red head step into the studio, she beamed and waved and her friend frantically, "It's about damn time!" she called before she stood up and met her friend half way, wrapping her arms around her as if she Rosie had just saved her from her death.

JUST A MIRROR FOR THE SUN Rosie was quick to learn that sleeping in was a luxury when it came to touring. Of course, she could probably sleep in every day by skipping practices and other obligations, but that was unfair on the rest of the band. So when she had a late night out, and had nothing to do the next morning, Rosie grabbed the opportunity to get a good, long sleep with both hands. She slept through her bandmates eating breakfast, and grumbled a bit when someone tried to wake her, but she was persistent. Rosie needed sleep as much as anyone else, despite being a seemingly endless ball of energy.
When she finally woke up, the sun was high in the sky. Instead of feeling sluggish, Rosie felt energized and ready to take on the world. Having a quick shower and getting dressed took almost no time at all, and while she was drying her hair, she received a call. Smiling at her phone trilling out some silly little keyboard piece she'd made herself, Rosie picked it up, squealing a little at the sound of Jessie's voice. Being invited to the studio only made Rosie hurry all the more. Not only was she eager to have something to do, she was genuinely excited to hear what her friend's band was recording. She was a huge fan of Welcome the Silent Force, and adored their signature sound. Being able to witness them recording their new album was enough to make her giddy.
It also made her wonder about her own band's recording. They'd been working on new material, sure, but they weren't actually considering putting another album out just yet. Their last one was only released last year, and Murder Mayhem were still touring on the success of that. Even so, Rosie thought that she'd bring it up next time the band were all together. Just putting out an EP while they were on tour might be kind of cool. Just mentioning it couldn't hurt, right?
She preferred to walk to the recording studio, even if taking a taxi would have been less costly both time and money-wise. It also would have saved her from getting lost in this strange location, but Rosie couldn't afford it. Between living on take out, buying new stuff constantly and going out frequently, Rosie knew that if she wanted to survive the rest of the tour she'd have to be a little more frugal. After all, a bit of fresh air never hurt anyone, right?
Eventually she arrived at the recording studio, hoping that it was the right one. If not, at least they'd be able to tell her where it was. She practically ran up the stairs to the correct floor, and burst in the studio, her face lighting up when she saw a bright red flash of hair that wasn't her own. As Jess wrapped her arms around her, Rosie did the same, swaying slightly. It felt like forever since they'd seen one another, although it had probably only been yesterday. "Sorry, sorry." Rosie apologized for taking her time, still beaming at Jess. "I think I must've taken the scenic route." With a laugh, Rosie looked past Jess and at the rest of Welcome the Silent Force, giving them all a little wave.
"So, whatcha guys doing?" she questioned, her attention returning to Jess. She waited a moment before approaching where they were working, looking at all the paper and at the mixing console before her. She itched to press the buttons, but restrained herself from doing so. Messing up their recording probably wasn't a good idea, as hilarious as it seemed to Rosie now. WORDS 609 TAGGED JESSIE/CHARLIE NOTES BA-DUM TISH! TEMPLATE BY WE WERE INFINITE ! OF CAUTION 2.0

Sometimes she just got too frustrated and didn't use her time as effectively as she did compared to the other albums that herself and the band had written. Instead she would actually go out and hang with the band in the lounge, playing video games doing something that would numb her brain. Jess wasn't good at handling stress, so why she had decided to go out and write a new album while on tour was beyond anyone, especially herself. She figured it was probably because of the fact that she had so many ideas and she felt as though she was going to explode if she didn't write them down and make something out of them. Especially now, with just a huge tour under her belt and their last album being put out two years ago, Jess figured the fans deserved a new album form them. Luckily for her, the rest of her band agreed and they had all been good about helping her out with her stress. Hell, even Adrian was as stoked about it as she was.
Now that they were in the studio, causing their creations to come to life, Jess felt a soft sigh of relief rush over her. All of the writing was done, now it was just getting it all down on tracks and mixing and mastering it until everything was even. Sinking into the couch, she felt the weight slowly roll off her shoulders, knowing how quick and efficient the band was when it came down to recording time. Usually it only took them a couple of months and then all of the tracks would be sent off to mixing. By that time, all Jessie had to do was show up for interviews with the band, and she honestly loved doing interviews. Unlike most artists these days, she didn't really mind if fans saw into her life, she felt as though she didn't really have anything to hide. However, when it came to her and Thad's relationship, she always kept her mouth shut, simply because Thad had asked her to. Just because she was comfortable with talking about the relationship, didn't mean that he was and she was okay with that.
When she finally saw Rosie walk into the studio, she felt another wave of relief wash over her, knowing that she wouldn't be bored from here on out. As they embraced, Jess gave one final squeeze before she left go and looked at Rosie, "I didn't even know there was a scenic route to get here..." she explained before she giggled and watched as Rosie walked over to the mixing table, "Uhm, just some guitars right now. Then after this it's onto vocals. But Adrian always takes so fucking long!" she shouted, knowing that she could hear him. Her knowledge was confirmed when he gave her finger and Jess smirked, "What have you been up to, lately?" she asked before she took a seat back on the couch and patted the seat beside her so that Rosie could sit beside her, "Aren't you guys thinking of making a new album soon?" she asked, riasing an eyebrow at her suspiciously.

JUST A MIRROR FOR THE SUN Staring in wonder at the studio around her, Rosie's eyes widened. All the gadgets and buttons screamed for her to fiddle with them, as they always did. Usually, Rosie's curiosity won out when it came to strange buttons and knobs, because she always had to find out what they did. Even when her own band were recording, Rosie would take forever to mix her own stuff, because she'd want to apply every possible combination of effects to the pieces she had played just to make sure she was doing what sounded best. It got on the nerves of some people, but Rosie didn't care. She would have hated to do something and then decide she didn't like it down the road. Despite what a lot of people thought, Rosie did actually put a lot of time and effort into her music. It was perhaps the one thing she took seriously.
Rosie let out a laugh as Jess admitted she didn't think there even was a scenic route to the studio. "There is always a scenic route when it comes to me. You should know that by now!" Rosie giggled, flashing a wink to her friend. Her attention quickly returned to the mixing table, and the guitarist in the room as he plucked away at his guitar. She'd never really officially met Adrian, but from what she had heard about him, Rosie had to be careful around him. Even so, it didn't stop her returning his flipping the bird with a cheery wave and bursting into laughter at Jessie's side. Sitting down, Rosie put her feet up on another free chair, shifting herself to get comfortable. "Um, not a lot." she started, trying to think of what she had been up to. Apart from performing, going out and band practice, there hadn't been a lot. "Oh, I went to an amusement park with Jimi the other day. It was nice." Her lips spread into a small smile at the memory. It really had been fun. Some small part of her began wondering what Jimi was up to that day, before being pulled back to focusing on Jess and the fact she was having a conversation. "I don't know. I mean, I'd like to." Rosie shrugged, playing with the ends of her hair. "And if you guys can do it, why can't we, right?" Rosie asked with a laugh, though she truly admired how dedicated to the album Welcome the Silent Force had been. Recording on tour was tough work, Rosie thought, and was probably better off done when at home and with little else to distract you. But it would be an experience, and Rosie was all for experiencing everything she could. "Is there anything to eat?" Rosie leapt her feet the instant she felt her stomach growling. She looked around the room, seeing none, a small pout crossing onto her face when she saw none. What kind of band didn't have food on hand when they were recording? Then again, Rose was never all that good at finding things anyway since she was always in such a rush. "Jessssss." she whined slightly, jutting out her lower lip. "Where's your food?" she blinked her green eyes, pulling a rather unattractive puppy dog face. Not that Rosie cared. She was starving, and since she had neglected to eat anything in her rush to see Jess, Rosie felt that her fellow redhead should be the one to provide the snacks. That was fair, right? That had been one of the greatest challenges in her life and she was glad she had done it. She was also proud of the fact that the music had actually turned out really well, considering how distracted she was. Obviously, Jess wouldn't want to be recording an album if she didn't think that the music was absolutely perfect, but it was just a shock to her because she usually wrote when she had down time. She would lock herself in her room and just play the piano and write for hours and hours, that was what happened with their last albums and she figured it would just always be that way. However, this time, she had so many idea that they were just over flowing and she needed to release them, so she did. She wrote all of her parts while on the tour and it only came together when the rest of the band stepped in. Honestly, Jess wouldn't be where she was then, without her band behind her ever step of the way.
Chuckling at Rosie's words, she shrugged and nodded, "Yes, of course. My bad." she spoke before she ran a hand through her hair and pushed it all over to one shoulder. She had been slightly stressed out about how long Adrian was taking, but she knew that this was what happened every time they went into the recording studio. He always had to stop for a smoke break, drink break or whatever type of break he could come up with. But in the end, he always got the tracks done and they always sounded amazing, so Jess never really complained all that much. Hearing that Rosie and Jimi went to an amusement park, she furrowed her eyebrows, "And I wasn't invited? I am highly offended!" she exclaimed before she jerked her head away in slight disgust before she smirked and looked back at her fellow red hair, "Question." she stated before she raised an eyebrow at Rosie, "I'm not basing this off of whatever the fuck the mystery blogger person said, but..." she paused and leaned closer, lowering her voice as she asked, "Are you and Jimi dating?"
The food situation of the recording studio was never all that hopeful; usually the band just went out to the mcdonalds across the street or just didn't eat for the whole day. That was usually what happened, actually. Jessie could feel her stomach growling at her as Rosie asked where the food was, "It's at the McDicks across the road." he explained and chuckled softly, "We never get food in here, we always go out." she explained before she shrugged, "But we have tea." she added with a nod of confidence, "Or...you know what, we can go out to eat, iI'm fucking starved."

JUST A MIRROR FOR THE SUN Naturally, Rosie was just a very unfocused person. It took a lot to get her to sit still, let alone pay attention to anything for more than five minutes. When she was younger, it was thought that she might have ADD, but when the tests were returned negative, her parents had just accepted the fact that their daughter was just destined to be a bouncing ball of energy her entire life. Amazingly, however, the instant Rosie had been given her first piano lesson by her grandfather, Rosie was completely focused. Music became one of the only things she could concentrate on without being distracted as easily as she was when doing other things. The same was still true today. When Rosie was writing, or playing music, it took a lot to shake Rosie out of her creative mantras. Which was why, if the rest of Murder Mayhem decided that writing an album on tour was a good idea, Rosie was all for it.
Rosie flashed Jess a sheepish grin when the other redhead protested not being invited along to the amusement park. "If I remember correctly," Rosie started, her expression still a little ashamed. "You were busy snuggling with a certain boyfriend of yours." Wiggling her eyebrows at Jess, Rosie let out a loud laugh before Jess stated she had a question. Once she heard it, Rosie didn't know whether to laugh again, or give her friend a questioning look. In the end, Rosie's reaction was some kind of weird combination of the two, raising an eyebrow at Jess like she was crazy, and letting out a small, nervous sounding laugh. "No, of course not." Rosie shook her head. "Jimi doesn't think of me like that. We're just friends." Rosie stated, shrugging her shoulders slightly. "And besides, if we were, I would have told you so, right?" Giving Jess a wink, Rosie nudged her friend gently with her elbow. Pouting slightly as Jess mentioned the food was across the road, Rosie supposed she could wait to eat. Being hungry was never a good thing to experience, but she didn't want to interrupt Welcome the Silent Force's recording session just because she was a bit peckish. Wrinkling her nose up at the idea of drinking tea (Rosie was never a big fan of it), but she lightened up again as Jess mentioned that the two of them could go out and grab something to eat. "Yeah, let's go out!" Rosie chirped in agreement, already on her feet and grabbing her things that she'd dumped on the way in. "Bye Adrian!" she called, blowing him a kiss, before making her way to the door to wait for Jess. Once Jess had caught up with her, Rosie exited the studio, her eyes immediately falling on the McDonald's across the street. "Are we going there, or...?" she asked, pointing across the street. She couldn't see many other food places along the street, though Rosie was sure she had seen some a block or so away when she had made her way there.[/blockquote] [/div] WORDS IDEK TAGGED JESSIE/CHARLIE NOTES ~ TEMPLATE BY WE WERE INFINITE !
